Wacky Wednesday! Let’s get some laughs and some fresh new deals we found for August.

The Review: I’ve continued my quest to some of the higher end burger restaurants before I start reviewing the lower priced options. After the sticker shock with Fatburger, Shake Shack was definitely easier on the budget.
You can walk up to a kiosk to order your food and you even have an option to put a coupon code. I did it to dine in, and was given a number to sit down. I still find it a bit shocking that restaurants still ask for tips to employees when they are literally just dropping a tray of food off. I caved into the peer pressure and still gave a couple of bucks. I have this fear that they will see no tip was given and I’ll end up like the scene from the 2000 movie, Roadtrip.
Anyway, that did NOT happen, so lets continue. 🤣
I ordered the Veggie Shack and I was able to load it up with pickles, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and those fried onion rings. I opted for a single, which came in to about 650 calories, and a double would have brought me to about 950 calories.
I had to also get an order of cheese fries because next to the cheeseburger, cheese fries are the greatest invention ever in food.
I was trying to limit my dairy so I didn’t get a shake, and even the non-dairy chocolate shake was 900 calories which had me in complete shock. I guess you just don’t think about it, but when they smack those calories in front of you on the computer, you can’t help but feel guilty. I appreciate their honesty and I decided not to get a shake for that sole reason.
The food looked great (pictured above) and I just couldn’t wait to take a bite of the burger.
Bottom Line: Delicious. It’s not trying to replicate a hamburger like the Impossible Burger. It has a taste of it’s own. It isn’t dry, the sauce, pickles, tomato, and lettuce do a great job of complimenting it, not to mention the crunch you get from the onions. After devouring the burger and fries by myself, I felt really good when I was done. I wasn’t hungry, nor full. So that was a good thing. If cutting back on meat is something you’re looking to do, I would consider this option.
