America’s favorite on-screen spooky family is coming to Burger King. Step into the dark side and grab the ghoulish goodies!
The frightful celebrations are coming up and fast food restaurants are once again gearing up to deliver Halloween magic through limited-time offers. Burger King is among those restaurants, and this year they want to give diners a spooky yet pleasant surprise. After offering the Halloween Ghost Pepper Whoppers for two years in a row, the brand’s seasonal menu is getting a makeover. It’s going to be dark, creepy, and inspired by the Addams Family.
On October 10, 2024, Burger King will launch a limited-time menu that mimics the quirkiness of Addams Family. The lineup includes a Whopper with a purple bun, Gomez Churros, and Morticia shakes, among others. According to the restaurant, they wanted to release a menu that both children and adults will love. With the Addams Family menu, expect interesting food items that will remind you of the family’s eccentricity and authenticity.
Burger King’s Vice President of Marketing Communications, Zahra Nurani, said that the culinary team over at the restaurant worked hard to produce innovative items that are representative of the Addams Family. To round out the spooky celebration, Burger King crowns will also change their look, aligning with the Addams Family theme.
Burger King also partnered with Amazon MGM Studios Consumer Products to bring these special items to life:
- Gomez’s Churro Fries: Indulge in strips of fried pastry dough covered in cinnamon sugar, with a chocolate dipping sauce on the side. The item represents the patriarch of the Addams Family, who is also of Spanish origin.
- Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake: Inspired by the kooky Morticia Addams, this shake is mixed with chocolate cake batter fudge. It’s also finished with black and purple cookie pieces to get Morticia’s signature look.
- Thing’s Rings: This food item perfectly fits Thing’s, a disembodied hand also labeled as Addams Family’s pet. Thing’s Rings from Burger King are onion rings placed in a special themed packaging.
- Wednesday’s Whopper: You’ll love the unique purple potato bun of this Whopper that comes with black sesame seeds. Inside, familiar flavors await from the beef patty, lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, pickles, and onions. Condiments like mayonnaise and ketchup are also added to enhance overall flavor profile.
As part of the Halloween celebrations, Burger King will also offer special deals on Addams Family menu, exclusively to Royal Perks members, from October 10, 2024 to November 10, 2024. A line of limited-edition King Jr. meal toys inspired by the Addams Family animated film characters will also be released starting October 7, 2024.

More Spooky Details on the Addams Family Menu
In early September, we released a news article giving readers the first look on the Addams Family menu. Comparing that to the official menu lineup, we’re getting almost the exact same things we hoped for, and so much more! For instance, it wasn’t initially confirmed that there will be collectible toys inspired by the Addams Family. This one, I think, would be a hit to kids and kids-at-heart.
In terms of the menu items, we knew that Burger King made a tiny change to the item name of Thing’s Rings. It was first introduced as “Thing’s Rings and Other Things”, which honestly didn’t make that much sense because it only features crispy onion rings. Morticia’s shake was supposed to have brownie bits and sprinkles, but it seems like the Burger King culinary team settled for the black and purple cookie pieces. Excited to see how these would add to the shake’s overall sweetness and texture!

The Monster Tacos are back at all participating Jack in the Box locations. These tacos have been a mainstay at the restaurant’s Halloween-themed menu for four consecutive years. Isn’t this a good sign you’re going to be in for a treat? If you’re still not familiar with these monstrous tacos, I got you. Just think of Carl’s Jr.’s regular crunchy tacos, make them larger, and that’s it! More filling means more savory goodness.
For those who loved Angry Monster Tacos, which is last year’s variation of Monster Tacos, give the Mummy Wrapped Monster Taco some love this 2024. It features the same delicious taco filling from Jack in the Box, only wrapped in warm flour tortilla and layered with nacho cheese and bacon.
Ghost Burger from Carl’s Jr.
Meanwhile, Carl’s Jr. is here to remind us that Halloween is not just for the typical ghosts. When the chain introduced their limited-time offer, “Ghost Burger,” what they had in mind were those who have been ghosted by another person. To recover from the burn of being ghosted, Carl’s Jr. brings you the Beef Angus Ghost burger, which features a 1/3-pound Angus beef patty that’s been charbroiled. It’s layered with applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, a scorching hot sauce, and ghost pepper cheese.
