Churn Foods has teamed up with Mean Girls for a collaboration on Hot Honey Butter, launched on April 30th to mark the 20th anniversary of Mean Girls, that was released on April 30, 2004.

The Hot Honey Butter is made with a mix of honey, chili peppers, and grass-fed butter. The sweetness of the honey blends with the spicy kick of the chili peppers, complemented by the creamy texture of European-style butter. This sweet and spicy butter features the nostalgia and cultural impact of the movie, even after 2 decades.

The inspiration behind the Hot Honey Butter is in the “Swicy” trend, featuring flavors that are both sweet and spicy, which emerged as the “hottest” flavor trend of 2023.

The burn book-inspired packaging was designed by BKC, it features the eye-catching pink color added with memorable quotes from the movie, like “so fetch” and “is butter a carb? “, adding a playful energy.

Churning Up Flavors: The Story of Churn Foods

Churn Foods burst onto the scene in 2018, founded by Chef Michael Tashman. His mission? To elevate the simple act of spreading butter by offering unique and flavorful varieties. Their butters are made with high-quality ingredients, including grass-fed butter and exciting flavor combinations.

From Truffle and Garlic Shallot to Parmesan and Pepper, Churn Foods offers something for every taste preference.

A Match Made in Flavor Heaven: Hot Honey Butter and Mean Girls

This spring, Churn Foods, a company known for its delicious and innovative flavored butters, teamed up with the iconic movie Mean Girls for a truly “fetch” collaboration. Let’s take a dip into this sweet and spicy partnership.

This spring marked the 20th anniversary of the cult classic movie Mean Girls, and Churn Foods celebrated with a special edition Hot Honey Butter. This limited-time product launched on April 30th, perfectly aligning with the movie’s anniversary.

So, what exactly is Hot Honey Butter? It’s a delicious twist on the “swicy” trend that took the food world by storm in 2023. Swicy combines the sweetness of honey with the kick of chili peppers, creating a flavor profile that’s both sweet and spicy. Churn Foods’ Hot Honey Butter captures this perfectly, with the creaminess of their grass-fed butter complementing the sweet and spicy notes.

But it’s not just the flavor that makes this collaboration special. The packaging is a playful nod to the movie’s iconic “burn book,” featuring a bright pink color scheme and memorable quotes like “so fetch” and “is butter a carb?” This adds a touch of nostalgia for fans of the movie.

The Allure of Swicy: Sweet and Spicy Take Over Taste Buds

The “swicy” trend isn’t just a passing fad. It taps into our love for both sweet and savory flavors. The sweetness of honey balances the heat of chili peppers, creating a complex and interesting flavor experience. This trend has been popping up everywhere, from restaurant menus to grocery store shelves.

Churn Foods’ Hot Honey Butter is a perfect example of how this trend can be applied to a simple ingredient like butter. It adds a touch of excitement and complexity to any dish, from toast and pancakes to roasted vegetables and grilled meats.

Whether you’re a die-hard Mean Girls fan or simply a lover of unique flavors, Churn Foods’ Hot Honey Butter was a must-try collaboration. It reminds us that food can be fun, nostalgic, and surprisingly delicious, all at the same time. While this limited-edition product may be gone, keep an eye out for future innovative flavors from Churn Foods – they’re sure to keep things interesting in the world of butter!

From The Club

This one’s a nod to the girls’ club! I’m not a fan of spreading butter on my bread, but I love this collaboration between Churn Foods and Mean Girls. I didn’t notice that it’s already 2 decades since the OG Plastics/It Girls graced the screen with their presence. Time really flies so fast! Classic films like Mean Girls shaped our generation and I’m glad that food brands honor them with new food items. Butter may not be the first food that comes to mind with Mean Girls, but this collab is definitely “so fetch”!
