Get Ready for Halloween with Wendy's Exciting New Boo Bag Meal

Boo! 👻Things are about to take a spooky turn here at Wendy’s.

Since the 1960s, Wendy’s has been known as the fast food chain that serves the best square beef patties burger and iconic frosty combo to hit that specific craving within us. Their success was quickly felt a few years later, and they have been growing their chains where they mark their 1000th and later on 2000th store in the U.S. No wonder why they’ve been too good in their game.

This spooky season, Wendy’s is inviting the whole family to celebrate Halloween by grabbing their limited-edition Boo! Bag Meal. They are designed for both kids and adults or “Kidult” trying to reach their younger selves. Each Boo! Bag Meal consists of the following:

Now, what are these Boo! Books that are making an appearance at every Wendy’s location? Boo! Books are actually the chain’s Frosty coupon books that are available every year from September to October. What’s great about this is more than getting a freebie for your kiddie meal; these books support the children of Dave Thomas Foundation of Adoption to pursue fundraising and to help these children find loving homes.

If you’re in to purchase your coupon and give back to foster care, you may choose to donate simply by heading over to your nearest Wendy’s locations. Most Wendy’s restaurants offer the Boo! Books, while some do not. To be sure, you can check out the Wendy’s official app and you can see if your location is participating. You can find them under the category “Give Something Back?” and if you want, you can now start ordering your food online.

The Frosty Talk

Frosty has been the star of Wendy’s Halloween since it’s one of their original ideas that no other fast food chain could copy. If you recall, Wendy’s released another Halloween version of Frosty Frights where fans could get to collect all 11 figures, such as Brr Beast, Cold Spell, Franken Frosty, Coolie Ghoulie, and more Frosty Fright characters.

If you haven’t tasted Wendy’s Frosty yet, then you’re missing out big time! It would be too bad if you can’t get to taste the creamy melted-like ice cream from the classic flavors of chocolate and vanilla. They’re the perfect pair with Wendy’s hamburger and fries. But how did this dessert become well-known and tied up with the brand?

It all started with Fred Kappus, the CEO of the Kappus Company, during the 1960s. One day, Dave Thomas, CEO of Wendy’s, phoned Kappus asking for the perfect frozen dairy treat to put on the menu at his hamburger restaurant. Thomas thought that since he’s a distributor of ice cream machines, he might have a recipe for the perfect ice cream and ff course he did, it’s the Frosty treat that Wendy’s is known for.

The recipe for Frosty is actually from the ice cream that one racecar track in Cleaveland had back in the 1960s. They were frosted malts made by a special machine wherein they mix vanilla and chocolate to make the chocolate appear smoother to give it a malty flavoring. And judging by Wendy’s volume of Frosty orders from around the world, I guess they love it, so it deserves the attention that Wendy’s does, like making them the star of their Halloween specials.

What’s New at Wendy’s?

For the past few months, Wendy’s has stirred a couple of things for us, such as new releases and deals, but we’re not complaining, tho! I guess it’s safe to say that we can expect more food product releases from the chain that serves us a classic American meal. Let’s check out some of Wendy’s releases that you can grab a bite of:

Krabby Patty Kollab

Spongebob Squarepants is celebrating his 25th anniversary and he’s taking his party to Wendy’s for a special collaboration. Introducing the Krabby Patty Kollab made for Spongebob’s fans to live out their dream of eating a Krabby Patty. Let’s unpack this collaboration:

  • Krabby Patty Kollab Burger – Krabby Patty in the form of Wendy’s premium cheeseburger offering signature beef. It’s topped with the usual greens and fresh produce, as well as a special sauce made for the Krabby Patty.
  • Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty – May be inspired by Spongebob’s pineapple house, this dessert features Wendy’s Vanilla Frosty as its star. You can also find swirls of Mango Pineapple puree in this treat.
  • Hot & Crispy Medium Fry – Think of it as Krusty Krab’s Kelp Fries that will compliment your Krabby Patty Kollab burger.

Saucy Nuggs

This year proves to be a fierce battle between saucy chicken nuggets but for now, Wendy’s is taking center stage with their Saucy Nuggs offering. If you’re looking for the perfect gameday eat this football season, Wendy’s has got you covered with their new party pack featuring 50 pieces of Saucy Nuggs!

From The Club

I just love the Halloween season not only for the spooky, chilly feeling but also for the food that comes along with it. Wendy’s has done it once again by offering their Halloween specials, and they sure are doing it uniquely! They’re the only ones that offer toys and books as a Halloween freebie, and you know what the best part is? Their agenda is to raise funds for foster children from the Dave Thomas Foundation of Adoption. This would definitely pull me to order those, Boo! Bag Meal.
