Krispy Kreme has introduced several new donut flavors in the past few months. If you think they have run out of ideas due to their close-to-monthly releases, you’re wrong! They have another donut collection debut for fans to try, and this time, they’re taking things up to the next level with an uncommon donut offering to grace the collection.
Krispy Kreme is speculated to launch a Dr. Pepper pizza along with two other football-themed donuts for their next promotion. The release is also assumed to be next week at Krispy Kreme locations. Do you want to try this soda-flavored pizza? It may sound weird to some but let’s not judge the Dr. Pepper doughnut until we give it a taste.
Here’s the complete football-themed doughnut lineup:
- Dr. Pepper Kickoff – An original glazed base and topped with Dr. Pepper Creme. It is designed with Burgundy Sping Blend sprinkles for the popping feel that resembles a Dr. Pepper soda.
- Buttercreme Goals – Made with an original glazed base, designed with green icing and topped with nonpareil sprinkle candies and yellow buttercream, which resembles the goal.
- Kreme-Filled Football – An unglazed base donut filled with white KREME and dipped in chocolate icing.

What Fans Are Saying
As expected, fans are quick to comment about the Dr. Pepper Kickoff doughnut, saying how the flavor should’ve just been kept in Krispy Kreme’s idea book, as one fan expressed. 🤣 Others are saying that Krispy Kreme should’ve thought of another flavor to come up with to match the two other doughnuts. While many are not fans of this teaser, the doughnuts haven’t been released yet, so it’s too early to say if they were a hit or miss.
Most of the thrilled ones were Dr. Pepper fans who were also excited to taste a Dr. Pepper pastry they could eat. One fan even suggested that Dunkin’ should step up by releasing a Pepsi-flavored doughnut to rival Krispy Kreme’s Dr. Pepper Kickoff doughnut. I guess it’s safe to say that most fans are driving to their nearest Krispy Kreme locations upon its release. Who knows, maybe the Dr. Pepper Kickoff doughnut will be the next Krispy Kreme classic, standing near the Original Glazed and Boston Kreme.

This time marks a transition between summer and fall, so fast-food restaurants are unveiling their fall treats one by one. Krispy Kreme will be launching the “The Essential Pumpkin Spice Collection,” which features new and returning food items. Check out some of these exciting treats for the fall season:
- Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte – Starting off with the fall season classic, this drink blends Krispy Kreme’s Iced Coffee base with pumpkin spice syrup, milk, whipped cream, and cinnamon.
- Frozen Pumpkin Spice Latte – Would you prefer a colder drink to match the cooler weather? Get the Frozen Pumpkin Spice Latte instead. It features the same ingredients as the iced one; the difference is that this one’s frozen.
- Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte – If you plan on keeping cozy in this cold weather, I suggest you grab this Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte. Curl up with your best PJs and fuzzy socks while watching your favorite Netflix show!
- Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut – What’s the fall season without a pumpkin spice pastry? This cake doughnut is mixed with pumpkin spice flavor and coated with a sweet glaze.
Go USA Doughnut Collection
Krispy Kreme joined the Olympic fever as they cheered Team USA with their Go USA Doughnut Collection. The collection comes in a box of three doughnuts filled with Original Glaze, Chocolate Iced with Patriotic Sprinkles, and Go USA Doughnut. The Go USA Doughnut is the new addition next to the classics. It resembles the American flag, decorated with white and red stripes and blue and gold candy sprinkles.

Okay, so now we’ve got soda-flavored doughnuts? This was not expected of Krispy Kreme since I knew them to always stay on the safe side when it comes to their doughnut flavors. I’ve always been a Krispy Kreme fan, but I also scratched my head when I learned about Dr. Pepper Kickoff Doughnut since I’m usually not a fan of anything soda-flavored. But I guess I’ll give this one a bite or two because, who knows, I might end up loving it.
