There’s something Big coming at McDonald’s and it’s even bigger than a Big Mac!
Move over Big Mac, there’s a new burger in town! Rumors of a new burger coming at McDonald’s has been circulating for a while now. For months, we’ve been hearing about this new burger they’re cooking up that’s supposed to be bigger than their signature burger. The fast food juggernaut has been developing a burger that promises to match and even exceed the Big Mac’s size and value. It was first revealed in December 2023 during an investor meeting. Now, we’re getting confirmation that this larger new sandwich is being tested in select, undisclosed international markets in 2024.

This new burger is officially named the Big Arch. It will feature two beef patties, melting cheese, crispy toppings, and a tangy new sauce. It definitely has all the makings of a future classic. McDonald’s Senior VP Mike Cieplak even called it a signature McDonald’s burger with a fresh and modern twist. McDonald’s has been quiet about where these burgers are being tested but you can be sure that we’ll keep our eyes peeled for any updates. I mean it’s a big new release from McDonald’s so I’m pretty sure word of its appearance is bound to come out.
McDonald’s always makes sure that we get the highest quality products available. So, they’re always testing products to gather insights before giving these items a worldwide release. Some may see it negatively because we’d have to wait longer but I choose to see it as a necessary part of the process. After all, we don’t want something that’s undercooked, right? But it looks like we wouldn’t have to wait long anyways as McDonald’s is eyeing a late 2024 release for the Big Arch.
The Big Arch is a big deal. It’s been a while since McDonald’s dropped a burger that’s causing this much hype. The Big Mac is already an established giant in the world of fast food. Once the Big Arch gets released, it will have some pretty big shoes to fill. So, until then, let’s try out McDonald’s latest releases and patiently wait for their next move.

What’s New at McDonald’s?
While we’re definitely excited about the Big Arch, that’s not the only thing new going on at McDonald’s. This summer alone, we’ve seen them drop some of their biggest menu items of the year. Not only that, they’re also testing another highly anticipated product in a select location. McDonald’s has really been busy the past few months so let’s take a look at what they’re up to.

McCrispy Strips
We all know and love McDonald’s McCrispy. It’s one of the best things to ever grace their menu. It’s essentially a better tasting McChicken. So, naturally, our minds were collectively blown when word of the McCrispy Strips came out. The McCrispy Strips are chicken tenders but made with the same seasoned chicken filet used in a typical McCrispy. This is an exciting new menu item but like the Big Arch, we may have to wait a while before we get a chance to try it. It recently ended its testing phase at locations in Hickory, North Carolina. Reviews were pretty good so maybe we’ll get this before the year ends.

McDonald’s Summer Menu Releases
Here’s something that’s still available on their menu. This summer, McDonald’s dropped two amazing items with the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder and the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry. The Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder is a new take on another McDonald’s classic. It swaps out the traditional pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard for crispy bacon strips, lettuce, fresh-cut juicy tomatoes, and a special creamy sauce with a smoky flavor. On the other hand, we got the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry. This new limited-time summer treat combines vanilla soft-serve ice cream with pieces of Kit Kat along with strawberry and banana flavors. Both of these items are here for the summer so you better try them while you can.

From The Club
It’s not every day we hear McDonald’s actively promoting something that’s supposed to replace one of the most iconic items on their menu. And yet, here we are. Look I love a good burger as much as the next guy, but I just don’t see the Big Arch replacing the Big Mac. I mean this is the Big Mac we’re talking about. At best, I think the Big Arch would be a really good burger and maybe become a recurring menu item in the future. But to replace the Big Mac? I don’t think so. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. What do you think?
