Burger King just brought back a cheesy fan-favorite and Lee’s welcomes comfort food classics.
Crisp air and chilly evenings make us all crave for something comforting. While plenty of fast food chains already launched their fall menu, there’s nothing quite like embracing the season with classic comfort foods. And I mean those food options that are savory, ooey-gooey, and perfect for sharing. Just when you thought you’ve seen all the fall menu offerings out there, more brands decide to drop new items and bring back all-time favorites. Check out these chains with the latest seasonal and limited-time offerings that promise a cozy dining experience.
Burger King
This is not a drill. Burger King‘s Cheesy Tots are back, and fans are rejoicing! The amazing tots will be joining other classics from the burger joint like the Mozzarella Fries, Onion Rings, and Chicken Fries. The Cheesy Tots were first introduced in 2016 as a non-permanent item, returned to the menu in 2023, and now back again for a limited time. This popular side features coin-shaped tater tots with crispy exterior and a warm, soft, and gooey interior filled with melty cheese.
Aside from the return of Cheesy Tots, Burger King fans are also gushing over the release of a new test item: Fiery Queso Tots. The catch is it’s only available in Nashville, Tennessee, also for a limited time. They’re definitely worth the try if you want to spice things up this fall season. Just imagine the zesty spices coming together with gooey cheese. It’s like your favorite Tex-Mex dip, but better!
Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken
Meanwhile, Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken is inviting everyone to celebrate fall gatherings with their savory comfort foods. On October 15, 2024, the leading brand in offering home-style fried chicken unveiled its latest offering, the 10 Piece Strips Box. This should be perfect for fall family dinners as well as game day gatherings. The biggest flex of getting this box is that you won’t have to do a lot of cleanup anymore, allowing you to spend more time enjoying.
According to the brand, the 10 Piece Strips Box can be further transformed into a hearty family meal by adding five melt-in-your-mouth biscuits and two large-sized sides. Another option when preparing for large holiday gathering is Lee’s catering. The restaurant has been a partner for many events, big and small, making them an ideal option for delicious food and superb customer service. For added convenience, Lee’s also offers pickup and delivery options in select areas.
Of course, fall and winter seasons aren’t complete without the satisfying all-in-one-meal that is the chicken pot pie. Lee’s swears that they didn’t intend to make a better version than your grandma’s. It just so happened that they have this famous chicken made creamy and then combined with vegetables to create a heartwarming filling. They are baked in a flaky and golden-brown crust with a nice soft crunch. The brand shared that they sell 65% more pies during winter, which says a lot about how good this dish is.

There are six smoothie flavors to choose from, including the antioxidant-rich Blue Fairy and mood-boosting Coffee Punch.
Now, dessert lovers would love these next treats: OREO Cookie Peppermint Concrete and OREO Cookie Peppermint Shake. Both are available at Freddy’s, where winter has arrived early. So what’s the difference between the two? The OREO Cookie Peppermint Concrete let’s you “scoop up winter,” since it’s made with chocolate and vanilla frozen custard and flavored with peppermint syrup. The Shake variation has the same flavor but offers a different experience because it’s in sippable, liquid form.
Ghostbuster Donuts and a Spooktacular Pizza
On October 7, 2024, Krispy Kreme dropped the Ghostbusters-themed doughnut collection in celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary. The collection features four hauntingly good flavors placed in a custom Ghostbusters specialty box. If you love Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed doughnut, give the Eco-Sprinkler Doughnut a try, which is basically the OG glazed doughnut dressed in an orange icing and topped with neon sprinkles.
Over at Baskin-Robbins, there’s a new unique ice cream pizza that made a social media buzz. It’s taking spookiness to another *sugary* level as the pizza is made with chocolate chip cookie crust and then topped with a combination of M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies, TWIX Caramel Crunch ice cream, Halloween-themed sprinkles, and a fudge topping.
The TWIX Caramel Crunch ice cream can be enjoyed separately as this is Baskin-Robbins’ flavor of the month. It features a combination of malted chocolate and salted caramel ice cream flavors, blended with TWIX candy bars, blonde cookie pieces, and salted caramel swirls.

From The Club
I must say that there’s a lot to take in this October, literally and figuratively. On the literal side of things, Burger King is giving us the comeback we deserve. I love Cheesy Tots and have no doubts that I will enjoy the Fiery Queso Tots, too! But since I’m not that into spicy foods, I think I’ll need their limited-time shake from the Addams Family Menu. If I found myself craving something warm and satisfying, I would definitely go for Lee’s Chicken Pot Pie. It’s obviously not better than my grandma’s, but it’s one of the most decent pies in restaurant world, at least in my book!
