Something wicked this way comes!
It looks like we’re way over the fall season now, as fast food brands have also been releasing teasers for their Halloween menu lineups and movie-inspired food offerings. Starbucks, the pioneer of all Fall-flavored menu releases, has also moved on from exciting fans with their Pumpkin Spice. Now, they’re onto a new and magical realm, as Starbucks is rumored to have teamed up with the upcoming Wicked movie to release new drinks.
In case you missed it, Wicked is one of the highly anticipated movie releases this year. It’s an upcoming musical fantasy film that follows the friendship of Elphaba and Galinda. Elphaba is a young woman with distinct green skin, and Galinda is a young student who has an innate desire to be popular. Their lives and friendship take a magical turn after they meet the Wizard of Oz. This fictional film is slated to be released later in November, and a sequel entitled “Wicked Part Two” is also anticipated to be released in November 2025.
With Starbucks’ rumored drinks collaboration with Wicked, fans of the coffee giant and the movie franchise will be treated to two rumored drinks inspired by Wicked’s characters, Elphaba and Galinda. Let’s take a look at the rumored Wicked drinks from Starbucks:
Glinda’s Pink Potion
The first rumored drink on the Starbucks x Wicked lineup is a tribute to Glinda. It features a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher hand-shaken with creamy coconut milk, ice, and a scoop of real dragonfruit. It’s also topped with smooth non-dairy Strawberry Cream Cold Foam, and finished off with colorful candy sprinkles.

Elphaba’s Green Elixir
Last but definitely not the least, Elphaba’s Green Elixir completes the rumored drink lineup. It features Starbucks’ Cold Brewed that’s sweetened with Peppermint Syrup. To finish it off, Starbucks added their non-dairy but silky smooth Matcha Cream Cold Foam and sprinkles of colorful candy bits on top.
Though unofficial, but a source says that these two rumored Starbucks Wicked-inspired drinks will be released by October 22, 2024. I guess these would also count as Starbucks’ Halloween drinks entrees. We’re just crossing our fingers that these Wicked drinks will be a reality soon!

Upcoming Halloween Themed Menu Items You Should Try
Guess what follows after the fall season? Yes, you’re right, it’s Halloween!. It’s that spooky time of the year again when kids and Halloween fans of all ages can enjoy Trick or Treatin’ in the neighborhood or go on a Halloween menu hunt on their favorite fast food chains. And if you’re the type to take on the second option, we’ve got the latest deets about the latest Halloween treats you shouldn’t miss out on.
Don’t worry, we’re only spoiling you with treats, not with any tricks!
Sonic’s Witch’s Brew Slush Float
Maybe we’re in the Spooky Sips era this Halloween. Even before there’s a rumor of Starbucks’ Wicked inspired drinks, Sonic first took the mantle of releasing a Halloween themed drink, their very own Witch’s Brew Slush Float. It features green apple slush with salted caramel bubbles, and topped with soft serve and more caramel bubbles. It looks fairly similar to a Witch’s cauldron of potions, thus its name. Guests can expect a refreshing mix of fruity freeze and caramel bubbles, which may give off an addicting taste to those who dare to order (pun intended!). Sonic’s Witch’s Brew Slush Float is now available in medium size at participating Sonic Drive-In locations across the country.

McDonald’s Welcomes Back The Fan Favorite, Boo Buckets
McDonald’s has confirmed the return of their Halloween fan favorite, Boo Buckets. Expected to drop on October 15 at all McDonald’s locations across the country, this year’s Boo Buckets will feature white, orange, green, and blue designs. Along with each Boo Bucket, customers will also get stickers that can be used to decorate the buckets according to their preferred look. And lastly, McDonald’s Boo Buckets will feature their iconic Golden Arches logo as the buckets’ handles, giving a sense of brand recognition.
Interested customers can bring home a Boo Bucket after purchasing a Happy Meal in-store, through the McDonald’s official website, or via the McDonald’s app. By ordering any Happy Meal, guests can get a Hamburger and 4 or 6 pieces of Chicken McNuggets. Which Boo Bucket design are you aiming to bring home starting October 15, 2024?
Burger King’s Addams Family Halloween Menu
Burger King always nails their Halloween menu releases, and this year, they’re teaming up with the Addams Family to bring a spookily but delicious Halloween menu. This lineup features Wednesday’s Whopper, a whopper with a purple bun, Gomez’s Churro Fries, strips of fried pastry dough in cinnamon sugar, Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake mixed with chocolate cake batter fudge, and Thing’s Rings, a.k.a. onion rings.
Thanks to Burger King, we can all be reminded of the Addams Family’s eccentricity and authenticity. To add to the spooky celebration, Burger King will also change the design of their BK crowns to align with the theme of the Addams Family.

From The Club
Starbucks may not regularly team up with movie franchises but when they do, a masterpiece is guaranteed. And even though the Wicked themed drinks are still a rumor, I can’t help but wish that Starbucks will bring these to life. Wicked is one of the most anticipated movie releases this year, and it’s going to be a smash for both brands when these drinks come out. Plus, these would be perfect as part of a Starbucks Halloween drinks lineup, just one or two drink additions, or Halloween themed pastry items and voila, it’s another seasonal lineup that Starbucks has nailed.
