There’s a limited-time dessert making a comeback at McDonald’s this summer!
Over the years, we’ve seen McDonald’s come out with some of the best desserts we’ve ever seen. They released desserts which became iconic and managed to put a unique twist on each of them. One of the best things they’ve ever came out with is their own version of the Apple Pie. It instantly became a classic and set a standard for the Golden Arches. Eventually, they started tweaking their Apple Pie and created several new flavors! Which leads us to the returning limited-time item.
McDonald’s is making waves this month when they announced that the Cookies and Crème Pie would be back for a limited time! This pie was originally released last year and was received with wide acclaim. It’s a pie that essentially combines an Oreo cookie with a McDonald’s pie. It features a chocolate cookie crumb crust and a fluffy vanilla crème filling.
The Cookies and Crème Pie is one of the best recent items to come out of Mcdonald’s menu. Lots of customers loved it and often paired it with McDonald’s ice cream. It’s like having a McFlurry mixed with fudge on top. It’s a great addition to the long list of McDonald’s pies.
So far, the Cookies and Crème Pie is only available in select markets. It’s been sighted in random McDonald’s locations. You can check the McDonald’s app to see if it’s available at a location near you.
We’re very excited for the return of this dessert! While there’s no word yet for a potential nationwide rollout, we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled. Stay tuned!
Best Limited-Time Pies at McDonald’s
The Cookies and Crème Pie isn’t the only delicious limited-time pie over at McDonald’s. They’ve come out with several variations over the years and most, if not all, are pretty amazing! In fact, Cookies and Crème isn’t the first limited-time Crème Pie that McDonald’s has released.
Strawberry and Creme Pie
Strawberry goes just as well as Cookies with Crème. Made with real strawberries and vanilla flavored creme, baked side by side in a sugar-coated flaky crust, the Strawberry and Crème Pie proved to be a fan favorite when it was first introduced back in 2012. It would take another decade before it would grace McDonald’s menu again in 2022 and even made a brief return in January of 2024. It’s a solid mix of flavors that really proves McDonald’s culinary team know what they’re doing when it comes to desserts.
Blueberry & Creme Pie
Here’s another Crème Pie from McDonald’s that just might be better than the Strawberry and Crème Pie and the Cookies and Crème Pie. This decadent dessert is a sweet and delicious treat. It features blueberries and vanilla flavored creme layered side by side in McDonald’s premium pie crust, baked to crispy perfection and served warm. It was first released in 2017 and has also been brought back a couple times, being added to McDonald’s long list of recurring menu items.

Latest Desserts at McDonald’s
Another classic dessert from Mickey D’s is their signature McFlurry. Anyone who’s been to McDonald’s has definitely tried their famous soft-serve ice cream with other treats mixed in. The McFlurry first came out in the 90s and quickly rose to popularity. Its original iteration was the Oreo McFlurry but has since come out with other amazing flavors. This year alone, saw two incredible McFlurry releases.
Grandma McFlurry
McDonald’s has often been associated with our childhood. So, this year they decided to double down on the nostalgia and came out with a flavor for their McFlurry that will take you straight back to your younger days. The Grandma McFlurry was a dessert designed to evoke feelings of staying over at your grandma’s place while she served you with butterscotch flavored treats. The Grandma McFlurry features a butterscotch syrup and crunchy candy pieces, mixed into McDonald’s vanilla soft serve.
Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry
This is the latest McFlurry that McDonald’s has released for the summer season. It was one of the most anticipated releases of the year and needless to say, it definitely delivered. We’ve had a Kit Kat McFlurry and a Banana Split McFlurry before, but McDonald’s decided to come up with a new dessert that put both of those flavors together. The Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry The new Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry features their signature vanilla soft-serve mixed with pieces of Kit Kat along with strawberry and banana flavors. It has a good crunch to it which complements the dessert’s creamy flavor.

This new dessert is very exciting! I just wish it would have a wider release so more people could try the Cookies and Crème Pie from McDonald’s. It’s only available at select and seemingly random locations so I guess we just have to try our luck and hope our local McDonald’s has them available.
