But most of all, it’s the winter menu from our favorite fast-food restaurants, which means we get to have our favorite seasonal treats back on the menu.
First up to unveil their winter specials is Sonic as they announced their lineup of their nationwide Winter Menu featuring a variety of cozy snacks that are perfect midnight snack options for when you decide to have a Christmas movie marathon with the family. This fits into the concept that Sonic is known for, which was originally a walk-up stand that sells hotdogs and hamburgers outside a log cabin steakhouse.

Double Sonic Queso Smasher
This isn’t a seasonal menu without any of Sonic’s hit Smasher burgers. For this particular Winter Menu, we’re getting a Double Sonic Queso Smasher, which is made out of two smashed Angus beef patties that are seasoned to perfection. It has a layer of American cheese, tortilla strips, and jalapeños, all smothered with a mix of creamy white queso and Southwest sauce. This Smasher served in a potato bun is priced at $7.49.
Triple Sonic Queso Smasher
If you’re seeking for more meaty goodness, then get this Triple Sonic Queso Smasher instead. It features three Angus beef patties that are layered with three slices of American cheese and creamy white queso. Other fillings include crispy tortilla strips and sliced jalapeño, all smothered in Southwest sauce. This triple smasher served in a potato bun is priced at $8.49.
Red Velvet Cake Batter Shake
Red Velvet cake lovers, where you at? This cake-turned-shake features a vanilla soft-serve base that is blended with Red Velvet cake batter, including the cream cheese whipped topping. To finish up the shake, a cherry was added on top to resemble the classic shake you can get from diners.
Buttery Brew
Root b*er does the magic of quenching your thirst, so why not try this magic while indulging in smashed burgers? This buttery beverage is made out of a Root b*er base mixed with buttery flavors of caramel and sweet cream. The Buttery Brew is priced at $1.89.
Sparkling Sugar Cookie Dr. Pepper
Sodas are all the craze right now, and Dr. Pepper is no different from them! This unique drink features the iconic fizz of Dr. Pepper as well as hints of caramel and sugar cookie flavors. It is also topped with a layer of sweet cream to resemble a cream soda.
Mark your calendars, as the new Winter Menu will be available on November 4 at participating Sonic locations across the country. They’re also available at Sonic’s official app and website.
To make the spirit of Christmas alive, Sonic is offering a special deal wherein a portion of each customer’s order of beverage, shake, and slush will go to Sonic’s Limeaids for Learning program. In case you’re not familiar with it, the organization has contributed over $28 million since 2009 as they’ve been helping build and upgrade high schools using the portion from their beverage sales.

Sonic has got pretty good new releases this year, and we’re definitely here for them! If you think about it, the drive-in chain, whose roots started as a literal drive-in fast food, has continuously upgraded their approach to serve more customers and make their experience easier. Part of all of this is to serve more food items that would fit a wide range of customers, and Sonic definitely gets it.

In this era of skyrocketing prices, fast food restaurants have created their very own value meal set or menu. In case you don’t know, Sonic has their own, and it’s called the Fun.99 menu that was released over a few months ago. The Fun.99 Menu is different from your typical value menu because Sonic includes new menu items for everyone to try. Aside from a wide range of menu items, they also have changing menu sets to give way for new food items to star in their value menu. Witch’s Brew Slush Float
This Halloween, you can sip your troubles away as Sonic has come out with a drink that is highly inspired by the infamous Witch’s brew. While the brew may have a lot of unsavory items added to it, at least Sonic would make up for that. The Witch’s Brew Slush Float features a green apple slush flavor, salted caramel bubbles topped with a vanilla soft serve, and even more caramel bubbles. Get this Halloween-themed drink to match with your smasher burgers for a limited time only.
Loaded Queso Fries
Looking for the perfect appetizer to match your Smashers? Sonic’s Loaded Queso Fries will do the trick for you. Gone are the days when shoestring potatoes are plain salted since they’ve got a personality now. What’s amazing about this is that you’ve got to choose among the two Queso Fries variations: Bacon Ranch Loaded Queso and Southwest Loaded Queso Fries.
The Bacon Ranch Loaded Queso is filled with Sonic’s Groovy Fries, which is covered with white queso and bacon. It is also topped with a ranch sauce drizzle to combine with cheese. On the other hand, the Southwest Loaded Queso Fries deals with more flavor with the combination of cheese and Southwest sauce.

Better give me one of those Red Velvet Cake Batter Shake to pair with my cheesy Smasher burgers. I can’t believe Sonic has ever thought of making a Red Velvet Cake Batter Shake, but looking at their shake menu, you know you’re going to get even the wackiest flavor out of them. As for the food items, my eyes are fixed on the Double Sonic Smasher Burger. Well, it looks like we’re about to have the best snacking of our life this winter season!
