Triple Berry may have done its summer magic, but nothing beats this returning classic Wendy’s frosty flavor.
Wendy’s Frosty has always been a classic fast food treat we all love. Some would say it’s more than a dessert, it’s also an iconic treat that delighted fans for decades, a worthy competitor for McDonald’s sundae. And I’d agree, it has the perfect balance between a milkshake and soft-serve ice cream, and its creamy and sweet blends is a worthy dessert to complete a delicious Wendy’s burger or meal. That’s why it’s been a staple at Wendy’s and the fast food giant keeps fans coming back for more, through their regular flavor innovations.
Wendy’s is discontinuing the Triple Berry Frosty to cap off summer and replacing it with the classic Vanilla Frosty. Some locations have already started offering the vanilla flavor, which is set to be available nationwide by the end of this week.

Wendy’s OG Vanilla Frosty is their signature dessert, its cool, creamy and refreshing mix is thick enough for dessert lovers to use a spoon and also, smooth enough to use a straw. With a calorie count of 296 kcal for a regular size, the Vanilla Frosty has always been a go-to dessert treat whenever fans drop by Wendy’s.
Customers have shared mixed reactions on social media about Wendy’s Frosty flavors switching up. Of course, some fans still prefer the vanilla frosting over the triple berry flavor, which one user described as tasting like medicine. Meanwhile, upon seeing how Wendy’s is bringing back a classic flavor, some customers are also sharing their hopes for the return of previous favorites, such as the strawberry frosty flavor or even a peanut butter variant.
Overall, the excitement for the OG Vanilla Frosty is growing as fans anticipate its wide release later this week.

Wendy’s Frosty has always offered a sweet break to fans, and its origins are also nothing short of sweet. The formula for Wendy’s Frosty was inspired by an ice cream that was offered on a race track in Cleveland back in the 1960s. Fifty years later, it’s grown to be a nationwide favorite, giving honor not only to Wendy’s but also to its sweet beginnings in Cleveland.

It’s about time Vanilla Frosty comes back to Wendy’s! Yep, you can tell that I’m a vanilla lover just by basing off on my excitement, but you can’t blame me; I’ve always loved this classic flavor, especially when it’s on a dessert. Wendy’s Vanilla Frosty is not an exception and I’ve always loved it since its release, now that it’ll return, you can bet I’ll drop by Wendy’s whenever I can. They have working frosty machines that I can depend on, and will not get my heart broken when I’m craving (sorry McDonald’s!)
